Obviously this painting has a great deal of meaning for me. It is a tribute to my mother ... Jane Heuer 1936 - 2006. Her fondest dream as a child was to read all of the Oz books. I'm sure she did as she was a librarian and an avid reader her entire life.
This painting is now on display at the Taos Country Club Gallery on the Green in Taos, New Mexico. 40% of the sale will go to the Enchanted Dreams Foundation in Taos, New Mexico. The Enchanted Dreams Foundation is an organization dedicated to the support of individuals and families affected by Autism-Spectrum Disorder.

About the Painting
I use only the finest oil paints (Grumbacher pre-tested) and stretched fine art canvas. This large oil painting comes varnished (to protect the paint) stretched and ready to hang or frame. Although no absolute guarantee can be given as to longevity, I have followed to the best of my knowledge, as outlined by Ralph Mayer in his treatise to artists via long-standing master painter principals, those principals that best ensure an oil painting's ability to stand against the ravages of time.
This is not a knock-off. This is an original piece of fine art done done using my own reference materials and techniques. My painting style is not based upon that of any other artist, living or dead, but is the culmination of years of study, expermentation and practice.
