		Artist Link http://www.cottagegallery.freeservers.com Floral and landscape paintings in various media (pastel, acrylic, gouache, etc) by artist based in the south-west of the U.K. Christine has painted for almost thirty years, working mainly in her home area. She prefers the stronger colours offered by pastels and coloured inks, etc and often mixes media for different effects. She aims to capture the main forms and character of flowers, using their shapes and colours as the main attraction; however, the work is not botanical but more decorative in it's style. Christine has a particular liking for dark backgrounds, to accentuate floral colours, especially paler ones.
