Figure painting is what I love and I have developed some feeling for landscape paintings in recent years. My subjects are my friends and my family and my yard. I've done lots of paintings of people sitting around tables -- conversations. Social interaction is THE entertainment in life -- I think my work reflects that. I like to do people in interiors -- light and color. I have done a lot of self portraits -- I aim to do a nude when I'm eighty as Alice Neel did.
